Sometimes we find unexpected circumstances in our lives that cause hardship. Please do not surrender your beloved pet without reaching out for help. There are many organizations who want to help you keep your pet.
If you are having difficulty affording basic needs for your pet, they are resources to help you. Oftentimes, your local rescues, shelters, and food pantries offer petfood for those in need.
Does your pet have an unexpected medical expense? There are many places that offer grants to assist with medical care:

Seniors have special needs to keep them healthy and happy and safe.
Dietary needs- every senior has individual needs. Some seniors put on weight as their metabolism decreases, while others lose weight as their bodies do not absorb all of the nutrients from their food. Some seniors may have dental problems or other medical issues that require special diets to keep them healthy. Talk to your veterinarian about the best diet to keep your senior healthy.
Mobility issues- some seniors may have mobility issues. They could have arthritis or other problems with their joints. Stairs could be challenging, and jumping off and on furniture could cause an injury. Some seniors could have vision problems that would hinder normal mobility. In this case, rearranging furniture, or having objects in the way that are not normally there could be unsafe. Consider your senior's needs and assess your environment to see how you can keep it safe for them.
Medical needs- Seniors often have special medical needs. It is important to keep up with their annual checkups and keep them on flea and heartworm preventatives. Remember, if you need assistance, reach out. Your veterinarian is also a good resource to point you in the right direction if you need assistance.
